“Response Alarms” burglar alarm, Camden • This style of Response is much more common than yesterday’s tricorder, and often has other firms’ branding (the Response-branded version being a DIY alarm, I think). In its wavy curvaceousness, the case reminds me of nothing so much as a ladies’ shaver. • Spotted: Tottenham Mews, Camden, London, W1, England, 2005 • Politics: In the Labour constituency of Holborn and St Pancras
I smashed one of these of a wall the other week. About the only thing they are good for really.
yep, most wireless stuff is rubbish in my opinion, the only wireless I like is visconic powermax.
wired is much better.
Scanny i-On / 1on /ion whatever any good? (Apologies if Ive WrittenThat(TM) wrong marketing boys and girls…)
Galaxy with RF. I obviously don’t do much wireless cos I’m too expensive, not all that bothered though!
Well, I just wondered if any of it had got to the stage where it could actually be trusted to work…!
Can’t beat a few strands of tinned copper, I think ‘trusted’ is a bit of a stretch, ‘put up with’ is probably more apt.
Very true. You can’t easily mistake electrons down a tube… Unless you ask Prof. Cox of course!
yes, scanny ion are pretty good, also not quite sure about ESP infinite.
there are loads of these shape boxes around, most are response branded, but lots of others are blank or have other D.I.Y alarm names on the front.
Here is a video of one of these being set up, if you’re interested.
As Mr Logic would say; “Mmmmm, f a s c i n a t i n g!”
Funny enough as Mr H mentioned the Prima and Starlight being sold in Wickes – the white version of this is Wickes current bell…
lots of cheap DIY shops use them, what do you expect?
