Nameless red-painted alarm, Lambeth, 2011

Nameless (but actually Home Security Services) red-painted burglar alarm, Lambeth • A more downmarket, but in my eyes more attractive, overall paint job for this alarm on an under-arch auto repair premises. The occupants obviously took a car spray to this defenceless Home Security Services bell box – there’s a visible version here. Its home is further enhanced by a Ferodo sign – one that’s sadly vanishing from bridges all over London (and possibly elsewhere) right now, although the company still exists. • Spotted: Newport Street, Lambeth, London, SE11, England, 2011 • Politics: In the Labour constituency of Vauxhall
